Dear Virtu-ista,
When I began to make church and career a focal point in my life, I looked to the well-dressed women in my church for inspiration. Their outfits were classic, polished, and high quality. As a twenty-something, building an always-appropriate wardrobe wasn’t terribly hard. But as I shopped and observed the fashions of teenage girls, whether for church or the movies, it was clear their options were few. Most were short or low-cut, snug, or made with thin fabric offering little coverage-or some combination of them all.  

Where was a girl to go if she needed a suit that didn’t require tailoring to fit her body? Or a dress for Easter Sunday?

Why shouldn’t classic, more conservative styles be available to the fashionable teens that want them? When it occurred to me to do something about it, I was reminded of the ruby referenced in Proverbs 31. God said the virtuous woman was worth more than the world’s most valuable gem. It represents love, passion and courage: all of these qualities are inside of us, and it's time to share that with the world. You express who you are through your style. You're bold, passionate and courageously chic.  I founded VirtúChic in 2014 to offer looks that fit every aspect of your life; to fill that gap in the market with modest yet fashion-forward looks for 12-18 year-olds created just for them.  

I hope this collection helps all girls and young women to know their worth and present themselves in a way that reflects their true value. That’s why VirtúChic is more than fashion.
