Ashleigh Holmes, Designer
Ashleigh founded her own formal wear design company, A. Renee Fashions, LLC in 2009. She has designed dozens of prom dresses for high school students throughout the DC metro area and has created wedding dresses as well. She welcomed taking on the unique VirtúChic collection, saying she appreciated the passion and emotion behind the line and helping to see it through to fruition. Ashleigh holds a B.A. in Fashion Design from Marymount University. She is a member of Love A.M.E. Church in Bowie, MD, where Rev. Kristen Piepen is the Pastor.
Jennifer Davies, VP of Marketing
Hailing from Savannah, GA, Jennifer is VirtúChic's own Georgia Peach. Jennifer is a fashionista whose favorite style advice to dish out is, “red lip, please.” She can style anyone and has a knack for creating beautiful hair pieces and extensions. Jennifer holds a M.Ed in Instructional Technology from the University of Maryland University College and is a technology educator with Prince George’s County Public Schools. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two-year old son. Jennifer attends Christ Apostolic Church, Bethel Fellowship in Glenn Dale, MD, where Chairman John Oluwatimilehin is Pastor.
Sheila Bowser, COO
Sheila, Kim’s mom, brings over forty years of management and administrative experience in the health care industry, to the brand. Sheila holds a Master’s in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in Nursing from the Medical College of Georgia. As a mom, she appreciates the mission of VirtúChic and what it offers to parents and others looking for quality and age-appropriate styles for their teens. She attends From the Heart Church Ministries of Suitland MD, where Bishop John A. Cherry, II is Pastor.
Gerald Bowser, CFO (not pictured)
Gerald, Kim’s dad, supports the mission of VirtúChic and brings a wealth of management acumen and common sense to his role. He works closely with his wife, Sheila, in her role as COO. Gerald holds a B.S. in Political Science from North Carolina Central University and served over 30 years in the DC government. He invests in real estate. Gerald attends From the Heart Church Ministries but remains a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Rich Square, NC, the church of his youth and hometown.
Kimberly Bowser, Founder & President/CEO
Kim is the visionary behind VirtúChic. Inspired by a desire for all young ladies to see and present themselves as the radiant gems they are, Kim started developing the first collection more than three years ago determined that VirtúChic would be “more than fashion.” Kim earned an M.A. in Communication from Johns Hopkins University and a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from Temple University. She also attends From the Heart Church Ministries where she serves in the Fine Arts ministry.
Charise Nesmith, Model & Muse
Charise attends From the Heart Church Ministries of Suitland MD, where Bishop John A. Cherry, II is Pastor. Charise holds a B.S. in Psychology from St. Mary's College of Maryland and recently earned a Master's in Early Childhood Education from Capella University. Her love for youth is generously shared in various ministries in the church, including the Girls Scouts and Lap Baby ministries, and as a teacher in Christian Schools for more than five years.
Lei-Nikki A. Bowser, VP of Finance
Lei-Nikki, one of the earliest supporters of the VirtúChic vision, manages the company’s finances. She is a M.S. of Management candidate at University of Maryland University College and holds a B.S. in Communication from her native Hampton area Old Dominion University. Nikki has over ten years’ experience managing grants and contracts totaling $10m. Nikki attends Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Arlington, VA. where Dr. Leonard N. Smith is Pastor. She enjoys travel and fine cuisine.
